In 1970, our father and his brothers started up the Sa Volta restaurant, which became the Sa Volta Hotel a few years later.
In 1977, they decided to expand the business by building an extra 2 floors over the restaurant, with 9 rooms on each, thus bringing the Sa Volta hostel into being.
In 1988, 7 more rooms were added on the third floor.
Continuing our father’s philosophy of constantly modernising the hotel, the hostel was completely renovated in 1998 and re-inaugurated as the Sa Volta Hotel in 1999, with new facilities, such as the lift, swimming-pool and terrace on the fourth floor, and three junior suites with sitting-rooms on the third floor.
At present, the brother-and-sister team of Noelia and Francisco Ferrer-Costa manages the hotel and strives to provide our loyal guests with the same welcoming, family atmosphere that they would have received from our parents, in a hotel that is constantly improving its facilities and services.
